“BE REAL WITH GOD”
Our Women’s Shelter Ministry went according to schedule this past Saturday the 24th at 5:30 pm. After several years of being active, we praise God for the consistency of this ministry…each and every fourth Saturday of the month, it goes on without a hitch. We ask that God send us laborers; more people to assist us within this ministry and all that it entails.
Sunday’s service was wonderful for beginning to end. Sunday school classes continue to bless the hearts and minds of all age groups. Our choir sang delightful praises. The sermon titled, “Never Let Go” was riveting, honest, and anointed. Pastor preached from various texts with emphasis on Hebrews 2:1, 3:14, and 4:11. We musn’t drift away from what God has told us. Remember, most of us don’t PLUNGE into sin; most of us drift…little by little, we end up in circumstances that we know aren’t pleasing to God. We often wonder how we got there. It is up to us to retain what we’ve heard. We must hold firmly to His word and make every effort to win the prize (Heaven/Salvation). God already knows our hearts. So, with that, we need to be real with him, while showing Him that we’re serious about wanting to follow Him. Christians, we have to stop majoring on minors and vice versa. In other words, let’s stop fighting over non-essentials (i.e. Denominational lines, etc.). God has a work to accomplish through us, but we must allow Him room to move.
Thanks again Pastor Joyce for delivering God’s word as you’ve so been ordered. God is pleased.
We are elated with the arrival of our first baptismal pool. We were very blessed to have an open door to use another church’s pool when we needed it, but we praise the name of The Lord Jesus Christ that He saw fit to provide us with our own. Our first baptisms within our walls will commence this coming Easter Sunday and we’re thrilled!
The Gospel Transformation series has continued to be a hit with everyone who’s a part of it. Major life change towards Christ are continued testimonies. This Wednesday’s Bible Study was entitled Genuine Repentance. The goals for the lesson were to recognize the facets of genuine repentance, to understand that repentance is meant to be a lifestyle, and to explore some areas that may need our own personal repentance. When we sin, we are wishing that we could remove God’s sovreignty from our lives. Knowing that God has blessed us in an area and purposely going the opposite direction…we don’t honor God in that. That send a direct message to God that we’re greedy. In other words, we’re not satisfied with the many blessings he’s given us, so we make our own arrangements to get everything we feel we deserve; even if it means giving in to our flesh. This is wrong! Sin complicated our lives. We need to be in a constant state of repentance. Too many of us repent because of the consequence(s) of sin, more-so than because of sin itself. We must come to our senses and take a stand against sin. We must strive to be more likethe prodigal son by not trying to minimize our sin. There is no benefit to sin…EVER! But thank God for true repentance and forgiveness.
Our choir had very productive rehearsals this week. We are excited to see what they have in store for us on Sunday.

“GOD’S CONSISTENCY”
God has blessed us to have a productive week. Sunday’s service was anointed from beginning to end. Wednesday night Bible Study was a true blessing from God, as we continue in the Gospel Transformation series.
There is a surprise in the works for all of us; make sure you make your way out to church this Sunday to check it out!
Tonight at 7:30, the ladies of AMFB will be holding their monthly Women’s Fellowship. God has allowed this ministry to resume from a long time of being dormant and we pray that it will continue and grow as Christ sees fit. Each month, it will be held at a different member’s home (call for inquiries). Anyone interested in coming, feel free…bring a friend or two or three
.
We look forward to seeing you there. God Bless and keep you all.

“WANT TO GO?”
Sunday was a smaller turnout than usual. Losing an hour thanks to daylight savings time threw quite a few of us off. We praise God for His presence and thanked Him equally for those who were in the midst as well as those who were not. The service was very upbeat. We praise God for our choir. They sung a song called ‘Here I Am’ for the first time. We are so thankful that God allowed Himself to be used through their ministry. We praise God for our wonderful Usher Board and specifically Head Usher, Sister Bea. Her energy…she praises the Lord with her heart, body, and soul without being ashamed and it’s very uplifting to see!
Pastor Joyce preached a sermon called Living In The Light Of Heaven that was extremely thought provoking. It also served as a wonderful reminder. As Christians, we spend a lot of time analyzing our earthly actions…trying to make ourselves better disciples of Christ. Our obedience to God is necessary to ensure our salvation. Although we are taught and understand why we must follow God’s word, often times we get so caught up in obtaining the blessings God has for us on this earth as a result of following Him that in a sense, we forget what it’s all for…HEAVEN ladies and gentlemen! HEAVEN is the ultimate goal and destination. All of our efforts to live righteous; all of our prayers and deeds; with every breath we can muster, we want to make it into Heaven. The referenced texts for this sermon were 2 Corinthians 4:14-18 / Phillipians 3:20-21 / Colossians 3:1-5 / Revelation 21:1-5.
Heaven is a place beyond our wildest imaginations. Over the years many movies have been made, depicting man’s limited mental image of Heaven’s appearance. The beauty of Heaven is incomprehensible. It is a place of eternal bliss…a place where all is made new. It is literally another world. We must live in light of the knowledge of Heaven; a different reality. We are no only being obedient for our lives here on this earth, but we are living to secure a spot for ourselves in God’s holy dwelling place. What an awesome gift he’s given us…the opportunity to live with him amongst the angels; amongst His family…our family.
We look forward to Bible Study this evening at 7:30pm and hope to see you all there.
God bless and keep you.

“CHRIST IS THE BLUEPRINT”
It’s been over a week since our last post. What a productive week it was! Choir rehearsals, our exclusive Tuesday night Men’s Shelter Bible Study, our wonderfully enriching Wednesday night Bible Study, Saturday’s entertaining Daddy5 Productions play auditions held here at About My Father’s Business Outreach Ministries (stay tuned for video and photo footage), and even more ‘behind the scenes’, we continue to strive to be a true people of God with a passion for uplifting his kingdom. We exhalt the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We love what He is doing in the hearts of our members and visionaries.
Sunday’s service was a platform of absolute love from beginning to end. From the youth to the adults, Sunday School classes were beautifully taught and served as a perfect transition into the rest of the service. Liturgical dance group ‘The Anointed’, blessed us with their beautiful ministry gift. Then the monumental sermon was introduced, “Living In Light Of The King’s Forgiveness”. Pastor Joyce read from Matthew 18:21-35. When We forgive others, they get a taste of the gospel because that action makes us that much more like Christ. Many people stay stuck in unforgiveness because they feel that to forgive is to forget. Well, don’t confuse the two. To forgive, you must remember that which was done against you. Fellow Christians, FORGIVENESS DOES NOT IGNORE SIN. “I forgive you, but please don’t take my forgiveness lightly.” We must forgive because we were forgiven! Our sins nailed Jesus to the cross. We must never forget that, but He allows us to turn it all around if we are truly sorry in our hearts…He forgives us. By nature, we are blinded to our own sinfulness and it stinks to God. A crude, but clear example of this that has happened to many of us: You may use a public bathroom and get annoyed with the person in the adjoining stall beause of the stentch; how quickly you forget that you used the public restroom the following week. The person beside you could’ve (and probably did) felt the same way as you. Problem is, we never think our stentch is as bad as someone else’s.
It takes a lot of energy to hold a grudge. Allow the weight to be lifted. Free yourself and others. Forgive! Sure, it may hurt when we are wronged…used in some way, but how many times have we wronged or used someone; how many time have we wronged God? If He took the same attitude that we take towards each other, we’d all be damned to hell for eternity. When we forgive, we move out of the way and let God do His thing.
We praise God for His annointing of our Pastor to bring forth such a phenomenal word in such an awesome way! We are thankful for all of the visitors and church family that were there to hear it! For all of you who were unable to make it…unable to hear this sermon for yourself, it would be of great benefit for you to hear it with your own ears. For a $5 donation, you can get a CD copy of the sermon.
Of course, since it was first Sunday, we had the pleasure of experiencing our Communion and Love Feast dinners in the same day. The bread and drink of life during service and smothered pork chops, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, greens, and more after service. We can’t wait to see what our Ushers come up wtith for next month!

We look forward to another blessed and productive week, IN JESUS NAME!
