We want to praise God for the turnout of THIRTY-FOUR women on AMFB’s Women’s Retreat this past weekend!  We exhalt His name on high for the brokenness that took place; changed lives and breakthroughs.  The ladies spent much of their time learning how to recognize the “Inner Me”…when the flesh fights to win over what they know God’s plan is for their lives.

“BABY DEDICATION”

Baby Christian Fuller was dedicated to God in our Sunday service.  His mother Saquila, said that she wants her son to know the Lord!  It was a blessed and wonderful time, in the presence of the baby’s family and friends and most importantly, in the presence of Jesus Christ!

Pastor Joyce anointed his head with oil and prayed over him.  Hallelujah!!

Countdown to the Womens Retreat is almost over!  The ladies leave on Friday afternoon at 1pm from the church.  The excitement is overwhelming!  They will be back on Sunday…just in time for worship service.

“REST FOR THE WEARY”

Jesus said, “Come unto me and I will give thee rest.”  Pastor Joyce’s sermon today really hit home for a lot of us in the congregation.  How many of us really take Him at His word?

Many of us are burdened in so many areas of our life; worry, anxiety, addictions, jobs, sin, guilt of sin, loneliness…the list goes on and on.  While some of us talk about how good the Lord has been to us (because we know that He has) and speak on the joy that He has put into our lives, some of us actually have no peace within.  The conflict of that must be amazingly overwhelming.  We are often so caught up within ourselves that we miss the message…we don’t hear His still, quiet voice.

Remember, we are to be in constant relationship with Jesus…not in religion with Him.  We shouldn’t get caught up in the religion aspect of Christianity.  If we do, we are missing the entire point of what God wants from us.  In Matthew 11:28 & 29, the word rest was mentioned twice.  The 1st time it was mentioned to reference salvation and justification.  The 2nd time, it was referencing completion and soul sanctification.  Unbelief is sin!  Let’s stop struggling with this!!  Cast our cares on Him and BELIEVE Him when He said that He’ll take it!!!  He takes the burden of sin and guilt away.  When we come to Christ, we don’t come to release “stuff”.  When we take His yolk upon us, He begins to guide and by faith, we are called to follow.  When God saved us, we became partners with Him…co-laborers, so to speak.  Let’s claim it and live our everyday lives as though we believe Him…starting now!

What a powerful word Pastor Joyce.  We are greatful to have you back from the Grace Brethren mission-based trip to Mexico last week.  You absorbed powerful testimonies over there and brought back with you an intense and wonderful energy.  We will pray for you as you work to implement some of the awesome things that God has put on your heart to do with and for our ministry as a result of your experience.

We had some renewed affirmations to Christ as well as a new person join the church today.  What a wonderful blessing as God continues to mold About My Father’s Business Outreach Ministry into what He’d have it to be.  We pray that we will be exceedingly obedient to His will.

COUNTDOWN TO THE WOMEN’S RETREAT!!!  We praise God for what He is doing with the Women within our church.  The ladies leave on October 19th and God’s anointing is all over this upcoming trip.  The excitement is building!  18-days remaining.
